Systems Thinking for high value Business Transfer Project!
In just one quarter, a newly established team assumed responsibility for a project abroad that was already halfway completed, sending the project management team into a state of urgency.
Recognizing the pivotal challenges at hand, the team swiftly organized focus groups for a Systems Thinking workshop. The manager orchestrated a comprehensive workshop with my support, spanning an entire day, aimed at guaranteeing success. Within this workshop, each team crafted system maps for various projects and key user interaction diagrams. Additionally, the team pinpointed the critical factors that exerted influence on these projects.
This exercise provided profound insights into the work completed at different project stages and the tasks that remained outstanding. Consequently, it enabled managers to grasp the existing gaps and formulate an appropriate strategy for the remainder of the project transfer.
In response, half of the team embarked on a site visit for a few months. The Systems Thinking workshop played a pivotal role in equipping the team with essential skills, enhancing their ability to connect with key resources empathetically, and enabling them to pose pertinent questions.
