Hello, my name is Sukanta Bhatt, and I work as a trainer/consultant specializing in Systems Thinking for complex business problems. In my previous roles, I have gained extensive experience in various fields.

I have spent over 5 years conducting research, more than 6 years as a professor, 3 years as an MCAD software developer, 10 years as a Healthcare software Architect, 3 years leading University collaboration and 12 years in medical devices as an R&D manager, where I took on different System Engineering responsibilities.

In addition, I hold a Ph.D. Degree from IIT and have also obtained a Systems Thinking certification from MIT Sloan School of Management. With over 25 years of experience as an R&D engineer, I transitioned into Systems Thinking in 2020.

Furthermore, I underwent intensive study and training in this field, and had the opportunity to coach and train engineers in a large MedTech multinational corporation. During this time, I developed a comprehensive two-day systems thinking program & successfully conducted seven workshops, where we tackled real business problems with the participation of more than 120 engineers. Additionally, I delivered three Systems Thinking Masterclasses, reaching an audience of over 1000 individuals.

I feel fortunate to have been involved in a large DICOM platform project, PACS data migration and 10 new product innovation(NPI) in the medical device industry, specifically in the areas of X-ray Radiography, C-arm, and Cath Labs. Furthermore, I have over a decade of experience working on sustenance projects, which involve supporting obsolescence, field support, and factory operations.

These projects have provided me with extensive knowledge and expertise in various aspects of System Engineering, including requirement management, product design, system integration, approbation, UX design, product data management, test automation, design verification and validation, clinical evaluation, and system release.

Due to the nature of device projects, I have had the opportunity to collaborate closely with different business functions and departments. Effective communication, meticulous documentation practices, and skilled negotiation have been essential components of my work.

I am a natural systems thinker, motivating teams and managers to adopt a systemic approach. Additionally, I am also well-known for teaching, training, mentoring, and well-being skills.
